Welcome to It's a 'Paws'-itive Thing.  We specialize in puppy training, dog training, beginning agility classes and all around doggie good manners.

Are you dealing with 'puppyhood' and all the joy and frustration that can bring?  Are you looking for your first dog? Are you looking to add a new dog to the pack?  Do you have a dog, or dogs, that are running your house that could use a few doggie manners? Need some training tools to help with some bad habits your dog has developed? Or maybe, you are just looking for ways to spend a fun and enjoyable hour with your pet refining and adding some skills. It's a 'Paws'-itive Thing Dog Training can assist you with affordable puppy training, adult dog obedience training and/or behavior modification. We offer in-home training (an environment you, your family and pet may be more comfortable in), private training (a safe, comfortable environment to help you and your pet master skills outside the home) and group dog training classes (distractions of other dogs and socialization).

In addition we also have some fun classes - Puppy Kindergarten for learning appropriate puppy play (socialization skills) and some basic obedience, as well as a Jumps, Hoops, Tubes and More (Agility for Fun) Class for those that want to try their hand at some jumps and tubes for some extra fun and mental and physical exercise for your pet. The new Rally for Fun class - make your way through a 10-20 station obstacle course with your pet while performing obedience skills at every stop --- first response is key to make your way through the course quickly. Your pet learns the benefits and rewards in a fun, interactive way.

For those that want to take their training just a step farther, we offer AKC Canine Good Citizen Classes. This six week course will enable you to master the 10 key obedience steps to earn your CGC award.

For those who would like a shorter class I offer three week mini classes.  Focus is an important part of training and that is usually where we tend to lose our dogs - they stop focusing on us.  Check out the Focus Class.  Are you and your dog communication well?  Learn how to read your dog and learn what your dog is reading from you in our Communication 101 class - also a three week mini class.
